As Director of White Source Pty Ltd, Kevin White is committed to working with, and representing, small businesses across all industry sectors. He is committed to resolving business issues, building relationships through networking, and providing information on opportunities and upcoming events.

Since 2000, Kevin has worked with and assisted thousands of small businesses from Townsville to the Torres Strait. He has achieved this through:

• "on the ground" promotion and mentoring of clients for the Indigenous Business Australia, Business Enterprise program;

• very successful delivery of the AusIndustry Small Business Field Officer program through the FNQ Area Consultative Committee; and

• advising small businesses about the Goods and Services Tax (GST), conducting tax audits in the region, and delivering presentations on GST at seminars and workshops.

As a public servant Kevin researched, wrote submissions, and advised Government Ministers, Cabinet and senior officers, on policy and legislative matters, which required extensive consultation with the public and key stakeholders on a range of issues.  Kevin also represented the ACT Government on several national committees, including the Heads of Workers’ Compensation Authorities and the Council of Australian Governments.

As Project Manager of the SBO program, Kevin will ensure you receive support to go online, enhance your online presence, increase your website usage and engage in e-business capabilities. 

In working with you, Kevin will:

• discuss your business ideas, target markets, and the future direction of your business;

• provide information on government and industry programs and resources;

• advise you on networking and business opportunities;

• talk with you about how you and your business can benefit through the SBO program; and

• refer you to relevant resources - in particular, working with one of our providers for specialised consultation on your online needs and issues.

Kevin is a former AusIndustry Small Business Field Officer who has worked with thousands of business owners and managers, including many Home Based Businesses. He has analysed their businesses, provided advice and direction, accessed industry programs and linked his clients with other businesses and organisations.  While still operational, Kevin’s FNQ SBFO team was consistently ranked No 1 out of 75 officers in Australia and was publicly acknowledged for their achievements.  Kevin personally resolved over 2,500 enquiries annually, and he developed and maintains an extensive network of businesses and organisations, from Cairns to Cooktown, Cape York, the Torres Strait, and the Townsville region.
